Began by repairing dialysis machines for hospitals. From experience in the field, a decision was made to manufacture catheters due to many competitors in the Dialysis Filters Industry. After lots of studying about catheters, and its design using the Reverse Engineering Method, our first catheter prototype was introduced in the late-80’s.

A small factory was founded, “Ameco Medical Industries”, located in 10th of Ramadan City, Egypt, and the materials required were bought to manufacture the designed prototype catheter. While spending some time going to exhibitions in order to know all the machines required for manufacturing catheters, our first catheter was offered in the market in the mid-90’s. A lot of destructive criticism was received about the catheter design compared to the imported ones. Luckily, some clients offered a detailed feedback that encouraged doing further studying in the manufacturing technology of catheters. Then, increasing the production was initiated and a larger factory, fully equipped with more advanced machines, was established. Eventually, collaboration was made with other factories.

Our first production was in Early-2002. After the big success the factory made, a bank investor encouraged the project and the production was hugely increased over the years, and a bigger trained team was introduced to keep the progress.
